Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications) Full time TasRecycle is a not-for-profit entity that has been appointed as Scheme Coordinator of "Recycle Rewards" to administer the Tasmanian Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), as announced by the Tasmanian Government.
TasRecycle is supported by its Members, comprising Lion, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, and Asahi Beverages, who each have significant experience in managing container deposit schemes across Australia and are proud to be involved in Recycle Rewards to help create a circular economy for beverage containers and importantly reduce litter.
Our Purpose TasRecycle is an exciting new business, tasked with the oversight and administration of Tasmania's Container Deposit Scheme ("Recycle Rewards").
At TasRecycle we are motivated to help keep beverage containers out of landfill, creating clean streams of recycled materials that help to build our Circular Economy by promoting product stewardship of all Beverage Suppliers in Tasmania.
As the appointed Scheme Coordinator for Recycle Rewards, we work with the Tasmanian Government and partners to oversee the building of a large-scale container recycling network which will play a key role in transforming Tasmania's waste and recycling system.
Through a 10c refund for every eligible container returned we will encourage Tasmanians to collect and recycle their beverage containers, making a positive difference to our people, environment, and local industry.

Job Overview:
The Marketing and Communications Manager leads the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies that effectively engage a broad cross-section of the community and promote awareness and participation in Tasmania's container deposit scheme.
As brand champion, this role also ensures TasRecycle and Recycle Rewards are connected with the right stakeholders, brand partners and the community, working with internal and external stakeholders across government, industry, community organisations, charities and Members.
The Marketing and Communications Manager helps TasRecycle achieve required outcomes and key awareness targets while demonstrating an evidenced-based, best practice approach to all activities and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Senior leadership to develop and implement an effective and evidence-based Marketing and Communications Plan, brand and marketing strategies and annual plans for Tasmania's container deposit scheme that drive behavior change and achieve key awareness outcomes.Ongoing implementation of the Marketing and Communications Plan including measurement and monitoring of Scheme awareness.Develop excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, provide recommendations and advice around best practices, brand and marketing guidance during mobilization and business as usual.Work closely with, and manage partnerships with, external service providers and agencies to execute multichannel campaigns, ensuring alignment of communications and messaging.Develop and implement systems to collect, monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing activities including advertising.Coordinate consumer research function to inform future strategies, working closely with scheme partners to share insights.Act as brand champion for TasRecycle and Recycle Rewards ensuring guidelines are up-to-date and shared with relevant partners, and all activity is in accordance with guidelines.Ensuring a commitment to customer service and that audience needs are considered in the development of any communication activities.In partnership with finance, manage and track spend to approved budgets by providing quarterly forecasts and actual vs planned.Establish guidelines to address customer experience and ensure messaging consistency across Scheme participants.Write or review speeches, media releases, and internal and stakeholder communication materials, briefing notes and other content, ensuring messages are consistent and support strategic objectives.Develop and implement effective stakeholder and community communication and engagement strategies and initiatives for TasRecycle.Identify, establish and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders to successfully influence and achieve mutually beneficial project outcomes.Plan and implement PR and communications campaigns, including the management of launches and media events, to support Scheme initiatives.Identify, plan, and deliver the annual media strategy and work with the senior leadership to develop and manage all bought media plans (covering all paid media including digital) to maximize impact.Oversee the development of marketing material and education tools to provide clarity on how to engage with the scheme.Oversee Customer Service Centre operations (Call Centre) including reporting and monitoring of complaints as required under the Scheme Coordinator Agreement.Maintain and develop relationships with key media and trade organizations, journalists, opinion leaders, and media advisers.About you: Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline such as business, commerce, marketing, communications or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience and training.Previous experience delivering brand and marketing campaigns and in developing and delivering communications plans in a diverse and complex environment.Experience with public relations.Experience in working with community stakeholders is well regarded.Experience identifying or nurturing brand partnerships is well regarded.Sound commercial acumen, including ability to develop commercial insights and communicate those in a clear and compelling way.Proficiency in developing and implementing effective behaviour change marketing strategies.Proven success in developing metrics-driven marketing strategies and creative campaigns.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Commitment to customer service and audience needs being considered in the development of any communication activities.High level of leadership, personal drive, self-motivated and passionate - guiding and coaching people and to develop and achieve and navigate change.Results oriented with the ability to manage complex, diverse and changing priorities.Advanced stakeholder management ideally both internal and external.Strategic thinking and acumen in solving business problems or exploring opportunities.In-depth knowledge of consumer marketing.Prior experience in managing media and creative agencies.Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to facilitate effective communication and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Strong project management, creative, budgeting, and decision-making skills.Experience in building new brands well regarded.This role offers an opportunity to shape the company's marketing strategy and communications efforts to enhance brand visibility and customer loyalty.
