Who we are  Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 500 people with an additional 1,600 contractors working on our assets.
AGIG is leading the way for the Australian renewable gas sector, and are committed to sustainable gas delivery today, and tomorrow. Our low carbon vision, targets 10% renewable gas in our distribution networks by no later than 2030, with full decarbonisation of our networks by 2040 as a stretch target and by no later than 2050.
About the Opportunity  As the Market Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing strategic customer account management, identifying new market opportunities, and enhancing customer relations across AGIG's gas distribution networks. You will play a key role in supporting the energy transition, including renewable gas and gas certificate opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: 
Develop and manage relationships with key national and strategic accounts to understand their current and future energy needs.Establish and manage an engagement program, including senior-level meetings with the AGIG CEO, EGM, and Head of Business Development.Assist in the development of new markets, such as renewable gas transportation and gas certificate use.Identify early trends and market sentiments towards natural gas, influencing AGIG's strategy.Foster engagement with key industry associations and partners.Support divisional activities and use SRM systems to manage customer profiles and interactions.Grow natural gas connections on AGIG's distribution networks and implement sales initiatives targeting key segments.Monitor gas appliance sales trends and develop responsive strategies.About You Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or relevant trade qualifications are highly regarded.5 years of experience in business development, account management, or sales.A solid understanding of the gas or energy sector, including transition pathways.Strong customer engagement and communication skills.Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally.Ability to identify customer needs, propose solutions, and secure commitments.Self-motivated with effective self-management in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel both interstate and intrastate.Experience in the energy sector or related industries is highly desirable.What we offer We are proud to be recognised as an inclusive employer by Diversity Council Australia, and our commitment to diversity and inclusion has earned us recognition in ******** .
