Job Overview: Our client, a large Federal Government department based in Belconnen, ACT, requires an experienced Maritime Reporting Analyst for a long 6 + 12 + 12 month contract.
Duties: Developing, maintaining and enhancing a suite of complex reports to support ICT capabilities across multiple security domains. Liaising with business users to gather reporting and information requirements. Supporting operational capabilities across multiple security domains, utilising SQL Server, Reporting Services, Integration Services and various other tools to present data in a variety of methods. Developing, managing and maintaining report distribution using an applications store, or similar tool. Performing analysis to support Business Intelligence activities as required. Managing and maintaining existing data standards and templates. Providing problem investigation support and rectification for data driven applications. Planning and implementing product upgrades as required. Selection Criteria: Microsoft SQL Server; SQL Server Reporting Services; Integration Services and SQL Server programmability. Developing and maintaining a report suite across high volume SQL Server databases. Liaising with business users to gather reporting and information requirements and undertake analysis to define report products that are fit for purpose. Logical and physical relational database design and implementation techniques. Providing detailed application support (level 3) as part of a technical support team. Willingness to be available and provide out of hours support 24x7. Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and the ESRI product suite. Supporting mission critical 24x7 systems. Security issues and processes around ICT systems in classified environments. The security environment including the different protocols and data standards.
