Rail & Maritime Transport (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) We are currently seeking the right candidate for a full-time permanent position in Geraldton, Western Australia. The ideal candidate should possess a Master Mariner Unlimited Licence or Marine Chief Engineer qualification, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Additionally, the candidate should be open to working in a regional main responsibilities of this role include coordinating ship loading activities, assessing and reporting on ship and cargo conditions, and ensuring compliance with marine standards.Specific responsibilities of the role include:Performing various ship surveys such as draft surveys, cargo hold inspections, cargo trimming, on/off hire bunker surveys, on/off hire condition surveys, cargo condition surveysConduct inspections when and as required both on and off-shoreMonitoring vessel schedules and arrange and prioritise tasks across multiple vesselsAssess scenarios, provide recommendations verbally and written to the relevant partiesGather data including ships data, running logs and photos as requiredEnsure compliance with marine safety and occupational health & safety regulationsProvide technical support for vessel loading activitiesProvide marine and technical consultancy servicesProvide guidance to customers and other staff associated with the loading of vesselRepresent the company in a professional manner and adhere to ethical standardsTravel as required for the roleEssential requirements for this role include:• Authorisation to live and work in Australia• Valid Australian Driver's Licence• Master Mariner Unlimited Licence or Marine Chief Engineer qualification under the STCW Convention• Valid MSIC or the ability to obtain one• DAFF Authorised Officer AccreditationOther required skills include ability to work unsupervised, computer literacy, physical fitness for demanding tasks, and excellent communication role offers flexible hours, requires more than 4 years of relevant experience, and can provide a work visa.
