MER has on the ground representation with ourteam of qualified maritime professionals in all major ports around Australia,New Zealand, China and Singapore, with recent expansion beyond. MER Solutions'established digital inspection platform BVIQ.NET and our emerging MERVet platform are used by the maritime industry for safety and conditionassessments on board ships and to promote best practice within the supply chain.MER also provides tailored consultancy, incident investigations and undertakesproject feasibility and engineering studies, in the maritime field.
Due to ongoing expansion we are seeking expressionsof interest from additional team members with all levels of maritime andshipping experience: ·Experienced Marine Superintendents / Inspectors / Vetting associates ·Entry level trainee Marine positions Wewould like to hear from candidates with the following Experience and Background: Knowledge of port, vessel management, marineand engineering operations, inspections, vetting, SOLAS, Class and otherregulatory compliance requirements.
Deck or Engineer officer sailing experience, Classor Regulatory experience or previous auditing experience would be highlyregarded. LNG or offshore experiencewould be well regarded.
Deck or Engineering certificate of competencyissued by AMSA (or equivalent) issuing body, preferred.
Maritime, logistics, engineering or shippingbusiness graduate would be highly regarded.
Team player with confident professionalapproach to responsibilities, in particular with customer, stakeholder andregulatory body communications. Theposition does require regular travel.
Applicants should have Australian permanentresident status, and preferably be based in Perth or New South Wales. Positions may entail a combination of homebased work with regular travel and extended postings to regional ports.
MSIC holder (or ability to gain) and validAustralian Driver's Licence are required.
