About the role: What you need to know:
The primary purpose of the job is to analyze, quote and negotiate Marine business complying with the Company guidelines, risk appetite and internal procedures to bring profitable business to the company. Administrate and renew existing portfolio by collecting and analyzing data from the claims, actuarial, multinational and distribution divisions.
Your contribution at AIG:
The Senior Marine Underwriter will contribute in complying with new business, retention and combined ratio budget.
Duties and Responsibilities: Attend new business submissions with premium over 100k USD (average premium). Analyze, quote as per our company guidelines and appetite, deliver, negotiation, and closure.Anticipate renewal process of complex and large accounts of Cargo, Marine Liability and Inland Marine to evaluate losses, premiums and conditions.Responsible for the performance of the portfolio of Inland Marine produced in AIG Go.Provide service to current portfolio requests including endorsements, providing in a timely response to brokers and agents consistent with SLA's.Complete the corresponding trainings in order to have underwriting authority in the Marine products: Cargo, Inland Marine, Marine Liability and Freight Forwarders Liability.Quote and administration of Multinational Programs: handoff elaboration, claims bulletin, endorsements.Perform monthly peer reviews.Interaction with other AIG areas to collect or provide information such as: Claims, Distribution, Actuary and Finance.Attend external meetings with brokers and Insureds to reinforce business line strategy, strengthen relations and increase new business opportunities, always promoting AIG values and behaviors.Filing as per required for all renewal and new accounts.Participate in different activities and cooperate with necessary information to prepare reports and monitoring of results, Limits Profile, Portfolio Review, KPI's, and any other information which required.Participate in assigned projects i.e., to improve operation as automatization processes, or any other which needs his/her actively participation.Accountabilities:

Bachelor's Degree in finance, administration, international trade, engineering, actuary, economy or similar.
English language required for the role.
What we're looking for: Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in Underwriting Marine Cargo, Property, Contractors Equipment or Liability for a Multinational company.
Knowledge of the market trends, terms and conditions as well as good relation with brokers and agents.
Along with technical skills required for the job, soft skills like effective broker engagement, commitment, teamwork, proactive management, effective time management/prioritization, calendar organization, negotiation skills, engagement with the team.
Effective analytical and attention to detail.
Advanced English required.
