MIDDAY ON TUESDAY, 4 FEBRUARY 2025 Exmouth is one of the few areas in Australia that can boast the Reef to Range experience. Adjacent to the Cape Range National Park, the diving and snorkelling paradise of Ningaloo Marine Park attracts thousands of tourists every year.
We are currently seeking a Marine Program Coordinator to join our team. Under the limited direction of the District Manager, you will:
Lead the development and coordination of the district's marine works program.Ensure the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the marine works program is consistent with the policy of the region and relevant departmental specialist branches.Ensure stakeholder and community involvement in marine protected area management.Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total. Demonstrated experience in marine conservation estate management. This includes developing and coordinating work plans and strategies; education, enforcement, research and the monitoring of marine operations; familiarity with the principles of planning in the marine environment and having knowledge of marine, coastal and island ecology.Demonstrated experience and effective skills in managing and leading a team.Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with external organisations, key stakeholders, industry, indigenous groups, community interest groups and the media.Demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of administrative and financial management; including budget preparation, expenditure control and project management.About Us DBCA, one of Western Australia's largest state government agencies, provides exciting and challenging career opportunities in biodiversity conservation and park and natural resource management.
