About The Role

The Maintenance Manager role is a key position in the SeaLink NT leadership team, responsible for maintaining the vessels and company assets to the highest standard to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

The Position Leads, Plans And Prioritises To Effectively

Maintain vessel maintenance schedules, troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify engineering issues throughout the fleet.
Ensure ferries and equipment comply with all legislation and standards.
Manage costs in line with budget.
Provide guidance and training to the onboard Marine crew.
A key outcome of this role is to ensure we continue to offer reliable on-time running aboard the highest quality vessels to our customers.

About You

As this is a key leadership position, you will be self-motivated and results-driven, and have a high level of interpersonal skills, business sense, fleet maintenance experience, and project management capabilities to ensure success.

These key requirements will be complemented by experience and skills in the following areas:

Maintenance planning and budgeting experience.
Supervisory experience.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with marine vessel machinery, especially marine diesel engines.
Basic knowledge and experience with hydraulics, electrical, and air conditioning systems highly regarded.
Knowledge of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems).
Marine Engineer Driver 1 or above.
Senior First Aid/Advanced Resuscitation.
Open Driver's License (essential).
