Titan Boats is looking for a skilled and innovative Marine Design Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the President to design and develop customer-driven upgrades and superstructure developments. You'll play an integral role in revising existing models and providing detailed drawings to support our production team in fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of new boat structures and customer-required changes.
Revise and create detailed design drawings using SolidWorks and Draftsight.
Provide accurate cut files and design support for production.
Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and define build strategies to ensure smooth production processes.
Offer design support to vendors and internal departments during production.
Track production issues and ensure quality control, offering technical solutions and communicating with key stakeholders.
Act as a backup for CNC operations when needed.
Participate in production meetings, follow safety guidelines, and support project goals.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or marine equivalent.
Industry certifications are an asset.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine design.
Experience in production environments is a must.
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Rhino (preferred).
Knowledge of CNC pathing software and aluminum boat manufacturing (preferred).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiar with geometry or master-part-based modeling (preferred).
Strong customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office, and other relevant software.
