This role ensures meal preparation, stock management, and cleanliness meet the highest standards while catering to diverse dietary needs.
You'll work closely with the Chief Cook and the galley team to maintain operational excellence.
As a Cook in the team, you'll make a positive impact by: Preparing and serving nutritional meals for all onboard Managing stock control, inventory, and ensuring proper storage Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Maintaining a clean and hygienic galley and catering area Serco is a place for you To be successful in this role, you'll have: AMSA-issued Certificate of Proficiency or Recognition as Marine Cook AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness Certificate of Safety Training (COST) Security Awareness Training Elementary first aid—Reg VI/1 Code A-VI/1 table A-VI/1-3 Strong stock control and planning skills Ability to think clearly under pressure and remain calm Experience in preparing meals for diverse cultural and dietary needs Right to work in Australia and a valid passport Ability to undergo an AAD Polar Medical Examination Please note: This position carries trust and responsibility.
