Chief Operating Officer/Business Manager The opportunity:

The organisation:
MB CRC is an independent company (limited by guarantee) formed in 2021. It brings together industry partners and leading researchers to maximise Australia's participation in the high-growth global marine bioproducts market, estimated to be worth US$700 billion by 2035. R&D is key to the growing industry's success. Over the next seven years, MBCRC will deliver investment of AU$270 million cash and in-kind targeted at developing and delivering new and improved products, pathways to market, production capabilities as well as the required highly skilled workforce. First Nations engagement is an integral component. Along with a desire to be an employer of choice, the Board and CEO provide deep scientific and commercial expertise.
The Role:
You will undertake the role of company secretary, providing support to the Board of Directors, and manage corporate operations including financial management, contracts, HR, IT, governance, risk, compliance, reporting and communication including playing a key role in relationships with partners and the Commonwealth CRC Program office.
About You:
You'll be an accomplished professional with a track record of achievement in corporate services, known for your excellent judgement, people skills, strong work ethic, "can do" attitude, commitment to excellence and learning and innovation orientation. Your commercial experience will allow you to help MB CRC navigate the unique challenges of an agile R&D organisation. You will understand the value of an active and well-run communications strategy. An understanding of the management of in-kind resources would also be highly advantageous.

The position is head office based in Kent Town on the Adelaide CBD fringe. The remuneration package is attractive and will be commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience (includes onsite undercover parking).
