About the RoleAs a Manufacturing Test Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and operational training of users within our existing and future test systems.
Our Quality Team are a self-motivated and efficient team of 4 who handle every challenge with a positive and proactive get-things-done attitude.
Reporting to our experienced Quality Manager with a dotted line to Engineering, this is a full-time role with flexible working hours based at our office in Bentley.
Your day-to-day will revolve around the following:
Manage the day-to-day running and support of test system and related infrastructureTroubleshoot and resolve system hardware and software issues related to the test systems ensuring minimal downtimeAct as the leader and sponsor of test system development and evolutionMaintain and enhance systems related documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures and Work InstructionsDevelop and maintain manufacturing and service test systems to ensure products meet functionality standardsCollaborate with Engineering and Product teams to create and implement test plans for new products and componentsDeliver projects efficiently and on time to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and service operationIdentify opportunities for system optimization and implement continuous improvementsTrain internal users and operators on the proper use and maintenance of test systemsPerform proactive and routine maintenance actions of the test systemsFacilitate cross-functional teamwork with Products, Engineering, and Quality teamsAbout YouHere are some of the things we think will make you likely to succeed in this role:
Proficiency in C# (C Sharp) and PythonFamiliarity with Linux, Windows, networking protocols (e.g., gRPC, SSH), and basic database conceptsStrong knowledge of BIOS navigation, networking, and debuggingStrong diagnostic abilities and logical troubleshooting skillsExcellent attention to detailExcellent verbal, written and listening skillsSolid ability to create documented processesAbility to train and support internal users effectivelyExperience with manufacturing testing systems, involving hardware and software componentsExperience in leading project delivery and engaging proactively with stakeholdersThis role is ideal for an ambitious Junior to Mid-level Engineer or a skilled Technician.
