Manufacturing Technician (Assembler) needed to assist in Production at Cheltenham in South Australia, (5014)
Requirements: Ability to manufacture complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.Ability to interpret and apply logical reasoning to manufacturing techniques and processes.Flexibility to work extended hours.Previous experience in a Manufacturing role.Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing techniques.Knowledge of computer hardware.Ability to undertake the mechanical and electrical assembly, manufacture, modification or repair of all units in the manufacturing pipeline.Responsibilities: To undertake the mechanical and electrical assembly, manufacture, modification or repair of all units in the manufacturing pipeline in accordance with Production Planning or Engineering Drawings using a variety of tooling, measuring aids & plant provided to meet customer schedule.To undertake the above regarding prototype & development tasks with limited Engineering definition.Responsibility for personal contribution to ensure the achievement of departmental output to support customer delivery to quality, cost & schedule.Responsibility for personal contribution to ensure the achievement of departmental output contributing to sales margin & cash.Responsibility for identifying and implementing opportunities for manufacturing process innovation & improvements.Responsibility for identifying and implementing opportunities for improving non-value added manufacturing activities.The option to undertake basic level testing in accordance with production test specifications.The option to undertake mechanical fabrication.The option to undertake the QA Inspection of products to achieve local and national quality standards.Ensure all relevant processes comply with the company quality system.Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OH&S requirements.Experience: Ability to manufacture complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.Ability to interpret and apply logical reasoning to manufacturing techniques and processes.Australian resident.Flexibility to work extended hours.Previous experience in a Manufacturing role.Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing techniques.Knowledge of computer hardware.Skills: Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and able to work without direct supervision either independently or as a team member.Excellent communication skills at all levels.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organisational skills.Able to schedule and prioritise tasks effectively.Award wages apply
