About the role: The Manufacturing Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of Bill of Materials Builds (BOM). This is a standalone position that will report directly to the Managing Director. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process and the ability to solve problems and ensure high levels of quality and efficiency.
Selecting new suppliers to reduce delivery times and/or increase profitabilityChecking costing from suppliers on past ordersChecking costing of manufactured items to ensure profitability is maintainedAdjusting the sell prices according to BOM costings, as requiredOrdering parts for BOM orders as required and in appropriate time frames for successful deliveryStrong mechanical or engineering background within a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with manufacturing processes and Bill of Materials ManagementStrong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills and a proactive approach to management of workloadAbout you: A degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field or previous experience in a manufacturing or production planning role, with a focus on BOMs and materials management is desirable.
