The role is 5/2 roster (Mon-Fri) and is based in Kalgoorlie.As the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the activities within the workshop.
You will facilitate assembly tasks as required, assist with the development of plans for our Kalgoorlie Workshop inclusive of the continual improvement and maintenance of the standard work sheets and templates.Areas of responsibilityCoordinate and supervise the workshopCoordinate the repair, maintenance, and fault diagnostic work on heavy duty plant equipment as per the appropriate site/client requirementsConduct job safety audits as well as audits on customer machinesCoordinate the Pre-delivery of new unitsMonitor projects / jobs to ensure compliance with costing and time schedules including bill of materials, delivery schedules, equipment, and sequences of operationCoordinate and assist in the processing of Warranty ClaimsWork closely with the Workshop Supervisors, Service Administrators and Planners to ensure efficient completion of jobsYour profileIn addition to the formal criteria below, you will be self-motivated with a positive attitude.
You will have exceptional leadership and customer relationship skills with well-developed communication skills.Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the Mining industry (minimum 2 years)Relevant trade qualification with minimum 5 years trade experiencePrevious experience with the Sandvik product range is desirableExperience or exposure to mine site operations, including a sound understanding of mining process, maintenance work management processes, improvement processesAble to work both as part of a team and autonomously, with an organised approach to planning, communication and time management.Computer literacy with Microsoft 365 suiteCurrent and open C class driver's licenseAbility to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testingWhy you should work for Sandvik!As a part of our team, you'll be eligible for our Company Performance Bonus scheme, recognizing your hard work and dedication to the company's success.
