Most importantly, we're all proud to be part of the Quad Lock team.About the RoleAs a Manufacturing Engineer at Quad Lock, you'll play a key role within the Product Team, overseeing the manufacturing inputs to Quad Lock's manufacturing process and products. You will ensure the efficient production of high-quality products while staying within budget and meeting project timelines. Your contributions will be key to driving the smooth operation of all aspects of manufacturing and achieving broader business goals.Please note, this role is an 18-month fixed term contract.What You'll Do:Collaborate with the PD team to deliver products according to the roadmap, assisting in manufacturing and engineering tasks such as DFM/A, design reviews, tolerance specification, material selection, and defining IPQC requirements.Support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, product improvements, and ECR/ECO actions through design tasks.Assist with the CAD audit, updates across the product range, and ensure BOM and documentation are current.Review and create part and assembly drawings to ensure manufacturability and QA compliance.Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA processes to identify and mitigate potential risks.Work closely with the QA team in Shenzhen to drive statistical analysis (Cpk) for FAI, qualifying tooling and off-tool parts (OTS).Handle BOM costing, tooling lead times, and production scheduling negotiations with suppliers to meet cost and delivery targets.Lead supplier management activities, including external DFM/A, tool design reviews, tooling strategy, and production planning.Conduct root cause analysis, working with internal teams and suppliers alongside QA.Use data from the CX team to assess product failure rates and implement design/process improvements based on findings.Support the Logistics and Operations teams in resolving production issues for BAU projects.Participate in knowledge sharing/mentoring for the Mfg & Eng team.Occasional travel (domestic and international) as required.What You'll Bring:Extensive experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical or Manufacturing.Proficient in Solidworks and FEA methodologies.Previous experience in project management and planning.Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.Experience in Plastic Injection Moulding/Die Casting (advantageous).Can-Do attitude.What it's like to work at Quad Lock:At Quad Lock, our customers mean the world to us, but so does our team.
