About the role In this role, you will deliver efficient, accurate, timely and meaningful accounting reporting, forecasts and budgets, to support and contribute towards the achievement of Ampol strategies.
Key responsibilities Maintain the manufacturing precinct general ledger, including processing journal entries, preparing general ledger reconciliations and initiating corrective actions.
Action the compilation of timely and accurate manufacturing financial information, including preparation of monthly actual and forecast financial reporting, analysis and commentary.
Prepare the manufacturing precinct budget, including operating expenditure.
Work through complex issues to ensure best outcome for the business and finance.
Manage and/or support improvement of financial systems, processes and reporting to meet business requirements and drive efficiencies within finance.

About you You will have strong attention to detail and analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate with key stakeholders.
Your strong financial and commercial acumen will ensure you are able to influence positive business outcomes.
You will be able to manually process data overcoming system challenges and cost accounting.
Key skills and experience Extensive experience in a finance based role in a large organisation.
Proven experience in the preparation and delivery of accurate financial information including actual and forecast financial reporting.
Experience with budget preparation including expenditure and costing.
Working experience with financial information processing systems/applications.
