Manual Tester
Experience: 5+ years
Mode of hiring: FTC for 6 Months
Location: Melbourne
About the role:
This is an individual contributor role onsite. The person needs to have a good understanding of functional testing and strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders, understand requirements, and ask the right questions for clarification to produce test strategy, test cases, development, execution, etc.
Desired skill set:
The client is primarily looking for someone with the following skills:
Very good experience in functional testing; self-starter who can work with minimal direction from the project team.
Experience in Wealth preferred.
Good understanding of testing fundamentals.
Test strategy development and writing test plans.
Requirements analysis and functional test case data development.
Test case execution and reporting.
Defects triaging, documenting, and reporting defects to the development team.
Familiarity with SQL or similar databases.
Responsibilities:
Perform tasks and responsibilities in line with company values and people capabilities.
Review and analyze system specifications to understand project requirements.
Work with project stakeholders to understand goals and prepare test strategy.
Design, implement, and maintain test plans and functional test cases to ensure desired quality and test coverage.
Contribute to estimates on test engineering efforts for various features and new initiatives as part of the definition of done.
Collaborate closely with your scrum team to drive testability in solution design and promote best test engineering practices in the development process.
Establish traceability and coverage through effective mapping of test cases to acceptance criteria as defined in user stories.
Advise and apply best QA engineering practices and supporting tools and technologies to specific features and projects.
Identify, mitigate, or prevent risks and issues associated with customer impacts, technical delivery, and quality assurance as part of project work.
