As a part of The Drake Group, a new and exciting opportunity exists for a Manual Machinist at Dalzell & Bagley Engineering to join our experienced manufacturing team and work on a diverse range of projects.
Servicing a wide range of industries from heavy transport, mining & gas through to food & packaging, Dalzell & Bagley Engineering have been providing general engineering services for over 40 years.
Position Overview Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the role requires experience with manual lathes, mills and borers, setting and operation.
Working in a modern well equipped workshop on a diverse range of machines and materials.
Positions available on a 4 day week, or 5 day week shift.
Key responsibilities of the role are: Setting & operation manual machines (Borers, Mills and Lathes) QA of components Liaising with Machine Shop Supervisor on continual improvement projects What you can bring: Previous manual machining experience is essential.
A knowledge and understanding of metal manufacturing such as milling & turning is essential.
Previous experience in fitting a benefit but not essential.
Crushing & Screening industry experience a benefit but not essential.
A strong attention to detail combined with numerical accuracy and a methodical approach.
A commitment to working in a team environment that promotes individual development, with an emphasis on safety.
