Managing Solicitor – Family Dispute Resolution Service2 Year Contract Location: Darwin
About Legal Aid NT: Legal Aid NT is an independent statutory authority established under the Legal Aid Act 1990(NT).
Our purpose is to ensure that people in the Northern Territory understand their legal rights and that disadvantaged people have access to quality legal services, thereby upholding a fair Northern Territory and national justice system.
About the Role: Under the direction of the Associate Director Client Services, you will lead Legal Aid NT's Territory-wide Family Dispute Resolution Service (FDRS) and ensure consistent practice in the provision of high-quality services.
About You: The Managing Solicitor will have experience in the practice of Family Law, including experience as an FDRP in Family Dispute Resolution conferences.
Your extensive knowledge and experience relating to family relationship issues faced by separated parents, the impact of conflict on children, domestic and family violence, and safety planning and referral will be essential in this role.
With proven initiative and management skills, you will lead the FDRS team to high performance and manage change.
You will engage effectively with diverse communities, including Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and CALD clients, while building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
