Position Overview
As a Managing Principal Researcher you will be responsible for developing research-based language learning and assessment solutions for CBLA's current and future offerings globally. This role will lead and conduct research that drives the development of cutting-edge learning and assessment products, ensuring their validity. These learning and research outcomes will be communicated to various stakeholders including regulators, senior policymakers, other researchers, and various audiences via various media.

Key Responsibilities Plan a program of research that supports the design and validity of assessments and other AI-powered products to enhance learning outcomes.Lead researchers to ensure the management and administration of an effective research program and data output.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and researchers to drive product success.Present and disseminate meaningful research outcomes in stakeholder meetings, conference presentations, technical reports, and peer-reviewed journals for a range of stakeholders and audiences (policymakers, academics, partners, colleagues, etc.)Ensure the organisation meets regulators' Conditions of Recognition for the OET test.Responsible for addressing any non-compliance issues promptly and effectively.Serve as a point of contact between OET and the Recognising organisations on matters related to quality.Submit accurate, timely, and relevant information or data as required by Regulatory bodies.Monitor the organisation's processes, including test results are valid, reliable, and fit for purpose.Promote and protect the interests of learners and maintain public confidence in the OET test and assessment processes.Ensure fairness, transparency, and accessibility in how qualifications are designed and delivered. About You A passionate and enthusiastic solutions-oriented individual within language assessment.Minimum 10 years' experience in research and development of language learning/assessment productsPhD in Language Testing, Applied Linguistics, Educational Technology, or a related fieldExceptional written and verbal communication skills, a strong publication and presentation record, and ability to engage regulators and internal stakeholders.Proficient in programming languages, data analysis tools and techniquesStrong knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data analytics within the education sector.Strong Understanding of Regulatory frameworks.Ability to lead compliance efforts across an organisation ensuring rigorous standards in all processes are maintained.
