As the Manager, Workforce Security your role will lead the development of statewide workforce security standards and support resources to address the unique security risks related to healthcare environments. Apply for this role now!Reporting to the Director, Safety Policy and Assurance your role will be responsible for leading the development, enhancement or embedding of workforce security considerations and support across Queensland Health statewide policies, systems and practices.The successful personYou will have demonstrated:Extensive knowledge and experience with contemporary health, safety and security strategies and initiatives, including national and state policies, legislation, standards and trends, and the ability to apply that knowledge to develop and implement effective systems, policies and programs within a large public sector organisation.A record of achievement in developing, implementing, evaluating and continually improving strategic organisation-wide health, safety and security management systems and strategies within complex environments.Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse performance data and provide strategic advice and reports to drive systems improvement.Ability to successfully lead a team in delivering workforce security programs, positive safety cultures, and outcomes.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships and effectively liaise and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to facilitate their cooperation and support to achieve desired outcomes.Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve goals and meet deadlines, including managing multiple projects and tasks in a complex environment.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
