This is a permanent opportunity commencing during January 2025. We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Water Supply Planning Leader to join our team and play a crucial role in advising Government on water source options and supply planning across Western Australia. In this leadership position, you will guide and develop the work of the Water Supply Planning branch in its role in collecting and evaluating water supply demand information to provide strategic advice about Western Australia's water and water security challenges. You will also lead high-level technical assessments of water source and demand management options, future demand across different water use sectors, and lead the development of regional water supply assessments and strategies.
This role requires a forward-thinking professional who can navigate complex water resources and water supply information, balance competing priorities, and deliver robust technical advice that contributes to the sustainable management of water resources and water security. You will be the primary point of contact in the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation for water supply planning matters, providing high-level guidance to senior management and key government stakeholders.
