Advance your career in 2025 by leading the Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound team at Royal Darwin Hospital and Palmerston Regional Hospital.
The Medical Imaging Department operates 24-hours and provides emergency, intra-operative and general x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, mammography relief, fluoroscopy, angiography and cardiac angiography supporting the Royal Darwin Hospital, Palmerston Regional Hospital and clinical oversight of the Top End Health Service sites.
As Manager Ultrasound Services , your primary objective is to deliver high quality diagnostic ultrasound services to Royal Darwin Hospital, Palmerston Regional Hospital, and Top End Health Service sites including the remote and rural sector.
Leading a team of medical imaging professionals and working with the latest medical imaging equipment, you provide oversight of high quality ultrasound examinations and apply your expert knowledge and experience to ensure the most modern technologies are maintained. Key responsibilities include:
Providing expert training, information and direction to a diverse group of medical professionals, administrative staff, and contractors; Leading continuous improvement processes; Ensuring compliance with legislations and enforceable standards.
To be successful you require a recognised Medical Ultrasound qualification, which confers eligibility with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Register (ASAR). Extensive experience in the practice of medical imaging and the professional leadership of radiographers/sonographers, and demonstrated knowledge in the development of Imaging Service Provision outcomes is essential.We understand the challenges in the Territory's health and community care are unlike anywhere else, but so are the opportunities:
