About this role Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team are capable, experienced, and 'hands-on' – leveraging cross-border transaction knowledge and a holistic approach to due diligence, in order to help clients make informed decisions on fundamentally pivotal transactions and deals such as mergers, acquisitions, divestments or listings.
As a Manager in our Sydney TAS team, you will conduct all phases of financial due diligence on M&A transactions and Investigating Accountant engagements on stock exchange listings across various industries.
Key responsibilities Manage the performance of buy-side and sell-side due diligence on M&A transactions, IPO assignments (as Investigating Accountants) and other ad hoc advisory projects as required for corporate and private equity clientsPlanning of assignments, including identifying engagement risk and determining the appropriate strategy in conjunction with Managers and PartnersReview and interpret financial statements and other financial dataPrepare and review detailed financial analysis to illustrate key business drivers and performance indicatorsDraft comprehensive and succinct due diligence reports, including executive summariesAs a leader in TAS you'll also be required to provide coaching, mentoring and training opportunities to other team members, as well as 'build your brand' and participate in business development and networking activities.
Skills and experience Required Significant experience in an accounting / auditing environment, with exposure to transaction due diligence and a thorough understanding of preparing and interpreting financial statementsFluent written and spoken communication skills, as well as excellent report-writing and presentation skillsCritical thinker with analytical, logical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a high degree of commercial awareness and professional judgementWell-developed organisational and project management skills, with the ability to adhere to deadlines and manage competing prioritiesStrong IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Office suite (primarily Excel and PowerPoint)Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)If you're interested in this role but don't feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
