We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Manager in our northwest region.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader in Therapeutic / Trauma informed practice to join Glenhaven's Safe Haven program based in our Northwest office in Ulverstone.
Glenhaven Family Care provides trauma informed therapeutic care to children and young people in Out-Of-Home Care and this role will be part of the management team that will oversee children specifically in our Safe Haven program.
We are looking for a person with skills, experience and talent in therapeutic / trauma informed care as well as staff management experience who hold a minimum of Diploma in Community Services and who align with our values of Compassion, Hope, Respect, Integrity and Support.
As a Manager across Therapeutic / Trauma informed care, you will have:
Experience in providing therapeutic trauma informed care to children and young people and an understanding of developmental trauma. A minimum Diploma of Community Services or the ability to acquire. Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award. Familiarity with Child Safety Services and compliance with the relevant legislation (Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997). Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management. Good communication, organisational and attention to detail skills. An ability to align with our organisational Christian heritage and practice Glenhaven's values. Current frameworks in your own style of practice. A caring nature, be patient, supportive, resilient, and passionate about people and your role. A willingness to be available to take a call from Glenhaven's on-call staff after hours if needed. Hold a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence (must have at least Tasmanian P2 licence). Hold a current NDIS-endorsed Working with Vulnerable People card or have the ability to acquire. Hold a current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History police check OR National Police Check or happy to submit to one. Strong administration and computer skills and good at rostering. A First Aid certificate is desirable but not essential.
