Overview of the Position The Manager – Tenancy and Housing Services has an integral role in whole of business strategic planning as well as business planning for the Customer Service and tenancy management functions to fulfil the Housing Trust's Strategic goals.
This role will play an active role in raising the profile of Housing Trust through actively participating in networking events, forums and conferences and other engagement opportunities.
In order to be successful in this role you will have exceptional technical knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Regulations and a sound understanding of policies effecting the community housing sector.
A focus on continuous improvement ensures the development and delivery of best practice policies and processes for tenant services and tenant engagement, leading to business sustainability, ongoing Tier 1 NRSCH registration and compliance with all contractual and regulatory obligations Leadership objectives: Reporting to the COO, the Manager- Tenancy and Housing Services is responsible for leading the Customer Service and Support team to deliver high quality tenancy management services including housing allocations, tenancy management, facilitation of tenant support and tenant engagement.
The Manager provides expert advice, coaching and leadership to the Customer Service and Support Team.
The role is responsible for driving high level performance across the team including delivery of key KPI's.

Selection criteria: You will have a strong commitment to people management, and enjoy mentoring, coaching, and encouraging a team to deliver their best efforts every day.
Technical knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Regulations and a sound understanding of policies effecting the community housing sector Proven success in a team leader or management position, and experience in a highly regulated sector such as community housing, aged care or disability services is a must-have High-level communication and interpersonal skills – be able to successfully liaise at all levels with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders A strong growth mindset, an interest in continuous improvement as it relates to systems and processes Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
