The Manager Talent Development, Talent and Organisational Development will lead and manage the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and organisational objectives focusing on talent pipelines, career pathways and learning programs across the Department of Health.The successful personYou will have demonstrated:High-level strategic leadership and knowledge of workforce strategies to drive and deliver priorities and objectives, developing and overseeing the implementation of programs, assessing and advising on the strategic direction of initiatives and ensuring best practices in talent development and learning programs.Proven high-level analytical and research skills, issue identification, problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice, presentations and reports to complex challenges.High-level communication and advocacy skills to maintain strategic collaborative partnerships and provide authoritative advice to a broad range of stakeholders, negotiating across a range of health organisations both government and non-government services to influence service delivery improvements and innovative care models.Exceptional interpersonal communication and advocacy skills to positively engage, build and nurture productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing challenges with integrity, diplomacy, tact, and a solutions-oriented approach.Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience in leading, managing, planning and delivering best practice contemporary strategic workforce projects and initiatives, influencing decision making at an executive level and leading engagement across a large complex multidisciplinary environment.Demonstrated leadership at a senior level, with the ability to successfully lead a team, set direction, motivate and inspire staff, promoting an environment where staff are valued, developed and coached to perform at their full potential that promotes a culture of lifelong learning and succession management.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
