About the role The Manager, Student Experience and Quality is a senior management position responsible for administration and interpretation of policy, governance and strategic oversight of all aspects of Higher Degree Research (HDR) processes; including, but not limited to, candidate management and progress, examination, reporting, retention, and HDR program approval, monitoring and review. This position provides research policy/procedural advice, support and reporting for the efficient and effective management of Higher Degree by Research candidature within the University.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Extensive expertise in Higher Degree by Research management and administration; Excellent communication skills that allow you to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to UNE; Proficient personnel management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and influence a team that is dynamic and responsive to competing demands and priorities of the university; An outstanding knowledge of higher education management, governance and policy; Excellent eye for detail with exceptional prioritisation, organisational and problem-solving skills; and A deep commitment to serving UNE's research priorities and initiatives. About the Graduate Research School The Graduate Research School develop, improve and report on all matters relating to Higher Degree by Research (HDR) study at UNE. The Graduate Research School supports research excellence in a manner consistent with UNE's objectives, provides advice and information, as well as analytical, reporting, and decision-support services on research quality matters to the University's academic governance and management functions.

This position is a parental leave replacement and the appointment is subject to the staff member's leave arrangements. Should the staff member on parental leave vary their return to work arrangements, this contract may be terminated earlier by giving four weeks' notice.
