About the role
An exciting opportunity presents itself in a newly created role at TAFE SA, South Australia's leading vocational training provider. The Manager Student Careers and Jobs will lead TAFE SA in its mission to inspire South Australians to develop their careers, pursue training, and achieve job outcomes that meet both individual aspirations and industry needs across the state.
This position comes at a pivotal time for TAFE SA, as the National Skills Agreement brings additional resources and an intensified focus on jobs and skills outcomes.
As Manager Student Careers and Jobs, you will lead a team of dedicated Career Development staff who deliver a suite of career and job services to TAFE SA students and prospective students. Situated within the Student Experience Directorate you will collaborate with colleagues across TAFE SA to provide a holistic suite of services that support student success.
Key Responsibilities Developing and executing strategies, programs, and projects aligned with the Student Success Priority Plan and TAFE SA's Strategic Plan.Leading a high-performing team to deliver targeted, high-quality career services and industry-aligned workshops that enhance career development skills and foster employer engagement.Building and managing relationships with government and industry stakeholders to bolster TAFE SA's reputation as a leader in vocational careers.Managing significant financial resources, contracts, and performance analysis to achieve TAFE SA's Career and Jobs outcomes.Driving the continuous improvement of student and prospective student career resources and supporting the development of governance practices within the Student Experience Directorate.Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
Out of hours work will be required.Some intrastate/ interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.Eligibility to work in Australia.Application Instructions
