Your opportunity: Reporting to the General Manager of Strategy, Sustainability and Regulation, the Manager, Strategy is responsible for establishing, and overseeing the implementation of strategy frameworks and approach at Urban Utilities.
This enterprise leadership role will shape and lead the development of Urban Utilities' enterprise strategy and strategic direction in an exciting time for the water industry!
Critical to the role is your proven ability to facilitate the creation of detailed strategic plans to set strategic direction and development of strategic objectives to guide the implementation of enterprise strategic priorities and initiatives.
You will lead a small but dedicated specialist team to develop strategic plans and strategic reports for the business, using tools like scenario planning to ensure Urban Utilities strategic planning successfully addresses a time of transformation for the water sector.
You will lead the team to gather actionable insights and track key trends through market and industry analysis to support data-driven decision-making and strategic prioritisation.
You will also apply well-developed stakeholder skills to work closely with a range of business leaders, strategic, customer, communications and technical experts to inform and share the strategic vision and initiatives across the organisation.
About you: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Strategy, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Post Graduate Degree preferable in Business Administration (MBA), Strategic Management, or a related field.Demonstrated experience in corporate strategic planning, ideally within the utilities sector and/or regulated industries.Familiarity with sustainability and economic regulation in essential services utilities such as water or electricity or a related field is desirable.Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams with a strategic, proactive approach that fosters collaboration and high performance.Experience managing relationships with internal stakeholders & external partners including Executives, vendors and industry stakeholders.Skilled problem-solver with the ability to simplify complex information and present to various groups to ensure data-driven decision making.Why Urban Utilities?
