Strategy and Planning Manager – Senior Leadership Role We are looking for an experienced Strategy and Planning professional to lead and shape the strategic direction for this leading Australian organisation.
You will play a leadership role that spans strategic development, business planning, high-impact project management, and executive-level communications.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead a dedicated Strategy & Planning team, fostering a culture of strategic excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Drive strategic thinking across the organisation and introduce external insights, and challenge the status quo to ensure robust strategic planning.
Lead the annual business planning process and financial modelling, collaborating with Finance teams to understand key business value drivers.
Oversee complex, cross-functional strategic projects that contribute significantly to business growth.
Develop and review high-quality presentations and communications for the Executive team and Board.
Mentor and develop the Strategy & Planning team and coach colleagues to embed strategic and commercial best practices.
Build strong relationships internally and with external partners to drive strategic outcomes and support key decisions.
What You Bring to the Role: Minimum of 7+ years in strategy, commercial, or deals roles, such as within a consulting firms , investment management or investment banking Proficiency in strategic frameworks (e.g., Porter's 5 Forces, Ansoff Matrix, SWOT) and inductive/deductive reasoning.
Advanced financial modelling and project evaluation skills, including NPV, IRR, and cashflow analysis.
Proven ability to craft and deliver high-quality presentations and business documents tailored to various audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple strategic initiatives effectively.

High level of accuracy and initiative in work.
Ability to handle sensitive commercial and strategic matters discreetly.
