As our Manager, Strategy & Partnerships, you will be responsible for driving high-level strategic advice for Biosecurity Queensland.
You will know you're achieving success in the role when you: Are dedicated to successfully and strategically leading the Strategy and Partnerships function to achieve high performing results.Effectively advocate for Biosecurity Queensland's interests and provide advice and counsel to programs on strategy and partnerships matters.Work in partnership with business areas within Biosecurity Queensland and portfolio agencies/bodies to achieve intergovernmental and reform objectives.Are actively contributing as a member of a high performing team.Biosecurity Queensland plays a vital role in securing the state's agricultural prosperity and preserving and protecting the health of our environment and economy. We are dedicated to safeguarding both human and animal health by preventing and mitigating plant and animal pests and diseases. Biosecurity Queensland monitors and regulates the application of agricultural and veterinary chemicals, ensuring they are used safely and in compliance with legislation. SIP: Strategy, Investment and Performance (SIP) delivers a range of services to support Biosecurity Queensland (BQ). SIP partners with BQ program areas to provide specialised advice on best business practice and technology to serve internal (and sometimes external) customers and business stakeholders.
It is a requirement for all Biosecurity Queensland positions to have a criminal history check completed.
