In this role This role is responsible for the development of a revenue strategy for Council focusing on optimising existing revenue streams, as well as the identification, development, and implementation of comprehensive strategies for Council to diversify and grow additional sustainable revenue streams.
This requires significant business acumen and a growth mindset.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across a diverse range of Council services and external partners including other government and related entities.
Furthermore, you will foster a culture of accountability and agility while providing strategic and authoritative advice on both the short and medium-term outlook, as well as the long-term revenue outlook.
Key knowledge and experience required Demonstrated evidence of capabilities in Council's Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture.Extensive experience at an executive level in a similar organisation driving revenue growth initiatives, leading strategy development and implementation, business or customer service delivery, framework development, policy, and process development, along with driving successful change and transformation in a complex environment.Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate, influence and manage complex and challenging issues in a sensitive environment, using highly effective relationship building, collaboration and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated substantial experience in providing strategic advice, financial management, risk management, resource management and reporting skills and a nous for political awareness.High level of commercial acumen and end-to-end business development experience including the development of new initiatives, programs and partnerships.Brisbane City Council is a multi-award winning accessible and inclusive workplace where people represent the diverse communities served, are supported, and can feel safe.
