Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented Manager Strategic Planning to join our Strategic Planning Section. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for researching and implementing changes in local government legislation and policy, ensuring compliance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Local Government Act 1993. Your expertise will guide the development of strategic plans and enhance our capacity to deliver effective services to the community.
As a key contributor, you will prepare detailed reports and proposals, manage strategic projects, and foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving our corporate objectives and ensuring the successful execution of Council policies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in strategic and land use planning, complemented by the ability to navigate complex legislative frameworks. You should be an effective communicator and negotiator, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, with demonstrated experience in Strategic Planning, including strategic and land use planning.Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and land use planning.Knowledge of statutory planning legislation, Development Control Plans, and Contribution Plans.Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.Commitment to superior customer service and best practice engineering solutions.Proven ability to develop and interpret policies in line with local regulations.Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the community and possess the skills outlined above, we would love to hear from you.
