Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Manager, Strategic InitiativesDepartment: Risk Australia R&C - Wholesale Risk Division: RiskLocation: MelbourneAbout UsAt ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.About the RoleStimulating and rewarding work with reach and impact across RiskOpportunities to learn, grow and developThis role is a key member of the Strategic Initiatives & Change team, which supports the GM, Wholesale Risk Australia (WRA) in establishing & executing on strategy, identifying & prioritising initiatives aimed at uplifting the business & people capability, streamlining credit processes, as well as delivering on the function's change agenda, in alignment with Group Risk and Commercial Strategic Priorities.Role Type: 9 months secondment to Sep 2025Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008Work Hours: Full TimeWhat will your day look like?Specifically, the role is responsible for supporting the Manager, Strategic Initiatives Lead in credit risk transformation activities (process and policy) relation to the WRA function, including:Assess current and proposed processes, policies and procedures to identify any gaps in compliance with APRA standards & BCOP and support Commercial Strategic Initiatives agendaPrioritising & leading delivery of key process changes for WRA processes to ensure complianceWork with key stakeholders across the division to understand impacts and leverage solutions within decision technology to deliver better banker and customer experienceUplifting/adapting WRA resource and infrastructure capabilities to deliver on future state vision, in line with the recent WRA Capability Assessment & compliance obligationsWhat will you bring?Influencing and Relationship Building: high level of influencing and negotiating skills by demonstrating a sophisticated repertoire of influencing techniques with the ability to adjust style to different contexts and audiences.Customer focus: defines and measure success through the eyes of the customer, banker and risk manager, anticipates, understands and responds to evolving customer needsTechnical & behavioural skills: strong analytical, modelling, commercial/business/credit knowledge, Wholesale/Retail, project design/delivery, adaptabilityMarket / Industry Knowledge: Future focused and actively understands industry, customer and risk management trends to set-up and execute strategy to meet stakeholder needs and expectations now and in the futureEmbedding Change: Design change management strategies that integrate the needs of our Bankers, Risk Managers and Customers and maximise business value.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
