About the Role The Communications Manager will lead the Centre's strategic and operational communications, driving outreach efforts to align with overarching and project-specific goals.
Collaborating with the leadership team, this role focuses on stakeholder engagement, brand management, and the development of targeted messaging, promotional assets, and events.
With a commitment to continuous improvement, the Communications Manager will oversee tools and platforms, media relations, and cross-functional initiatives to enhance the Centre's visibility and impact.
Your Responsibilities Provide tactical and operational insights to assist the leadership team in prioritising and targeting key stakeholder groups.Manage the development, production, evaluation, and continual improvement of a comprehensive program of communications and outreach activities that are aligned with the Centre's strategic goals.Prepare senior academics for key stakeholder engagements — including potential donors and commercial partners.Develop and execute key messages, promotional assets, events, and content required for those programs of communications and outreach.Who We Are Looking For The successful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead projects and manage cross-functional teams while balancing diverse stakeholder needs and priorities.
They will be proactive and strategic in driving communications and outreach activities, with strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and adopting new tools to enhance impact.
You Will Also Have: Demonstrated track record in developing and delivering communications and outreach activities that resulted in strategically important outcomes, particularly within large and complex organisations.An enthusiastic and proactive approach to strategic communications and outreach activities, including the ability to take the lead on projects and initiatives with limited supervision.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the proven ability to establish trust, convene and manage cross-functional teams, identify and understand the needs and priorities of both internal and external stakeholders.Minimum Requirements This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
