We are recruiting for Manager Strategic Alliances in Brisbane, Australia. The selected candidate will be responsible for all local interactions between Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia.
They will oversee all partnership activities and initiatives across Alliances, Corporate Planning, Local and Global Sales, Marketing, Pricing and Revenue Management, Loyalty, and other Commercial units, as well as Technical, Procurement and Cargo, to positively impact top-line and bottom-line for Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia.
This role involves the integration and joint planning of the upcoming Joint Operations between Australia and Qatar (subject to regulatory clearance) and developing synergies between the partners.
The QR on-site representative will act as a direct line of communication between Qatar Airways and our Australian airline strategic partner, including its leadership (VP / SVP / C-level).
Accountabilities: Maintaining and developing Governance structure to maximize delivery.
Develop initiatives and define priorities for the maximization of revenue across relevant traffic flows and customer segments.
Jointly with other key stakeholders, discuss the strategic directions for the planning of the revenue performance and pricing positioning for current and future seasons.Responsible for the liaison and proper execution of all agreed Alliances action items related to Commercial, Operations and Customer performance of the partnership.Design measurements and performance metrics related to all relevant business decisions within the scope of the Joint Operations between Australia and Qatar.Responsible for the coordination and preparation for Steering Committee (SC), Management Committee (MC) and workstream meetings ensuring all stakeholders are briefed on the agenda, minutes and other document packs.Facilitate regular communication and interactions, using a variety of tools between both airlines' Head Offices to promote understanding and communication.Responsible for the coordination and execution of a Business plan that capitalizes on Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia opportunities across Commercial, Technical, Procurement and Cargo.Coordinate discussions with Regulatory Authorities, including the ACCC, CASA and equivalents in any other relevant geography/jurisdiction.Deliver on overall Business performance vs KPI's jointly with area owners.Responsible for the rapid delivery of improvement initiatives across the business.Be part of an extraordinary story Your skills.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience.Experience in Management, Pricing, Network Planning or Sales is a must.Proven technical expertise in Partnerships and Alliances.Large scale Business Program Management.Business planning and associated processes in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.Deep understanding of the airline partnership business and airline profitability metrics.Deep knowledge of airline industry revenue planning processes, including capacity/network planning and revenue forecasting.You must have the legal rights to live and work in Australia to be considered for this role.
