This role manages the Standards, Training and Assurance (STA) unit in the Systems and Oversight Branch.
The STA Manager undertakes senior stakeholder engagement across the VSBA and wider Government. The role requires specialist knowledge of procurement, ideally construction procurement within a Government context, coupled with exceptional communications skills and stakeholder management.
The role is a unique leadership position responsible for maintaining the policies and processes that guide the compliant delivery of VSBA construction procurement activity, in total a program with more than $14.9 billion invested and over 3000 building projects.
The STA Manager leads on:
Developing and maintaining the standards and frameworks that guide project and program delivery, ensuring the VSBA meets its compliance requirements. Contract management and monitoring of performance for the VSBA's independent assurance services. Driving an environment of continuous improvement in both documentation and practices. Providing construction procurement policy and procedural advice, including maintaining procurement guidance material and engagement at Whole of Victorian Government level on procurement policy settings and requirements. Providing training and support for VSBA staff on procurement, standards and frameworks, including VSBA's core systems.
