About the Role
The Manager Site Contamination is accountable to the Director Sustainable Development and Urban Renewal for the strategic leadership and management of the Site Contamination Branch. The incumbent is responsible for the regulation of site contamination identified in South Australia and for the development, implementation and management of programs, projects, guidelines, and standards designed to ensure the appropriate management of site contamination in South Australia.
Providing strong and expert leadership and direction, the Manager Site Contamination plays a key and critical role in the implementation of Environment Protection Authority (EPA) policies, the achievement of EPA strategic objectives and the enforcement of the Environment Protection Act 1993 throughout South Australia.
Desirable Qualifications and Selection Criteria Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or other relevant discipline. (Essential for PO stream classification)Recognised postgraduate qualification in environmental law, environmental management or other site contamination disciplines.Detailed understanding of the National Environment Protection (Assessment of site contamination) Measure.Good working knowledge of the South Australian Environment Protection Act 1993 the regulations and associated Environment Protection Policies – with respect to site contamination.Application Instructions
