The purpose of this position is to provide high level strategic advice and lead and support the development of evidence-based, high-quality practice and programs for youth justice. This includes managing and leading review processes, analyzing youth justice trends and performance to support continuous quality improvement within the youth justice system.The Quality and Improvement Directorate works with the Regions and Central teams to deliver and sustain high-quality practice and programs that improve outcomes for young people, families, and communities by supporting evidence-informed practice and program design, development, implementation, monitoring, and review.As Manager System Quality Review and Support, you will specifically:Lead the design and implementation of continuous quality and improvement processes and frameworks informed by internal, external, and academic data, research, monitoring, review, and evaluation.Guide and support others in design, implementation planning, monitoring, review, and evaluation to enhance effectiveness and demonstrate the impact of Youth Justice initiatives and interventions, including local, statewide, and systems-level reviews.Advance and support the use of design thinking and methods to create innovative and evidence-based initiatives and interventions for young people in the youth justice system.Develop, coordinate, and deliver authoritative, professional, and timely advice to the Director and key stakeholders on issues pertaining to the full continuum of youth justice service delivery, including departmental interventions, initiatives, and system reform required to enable high-quality and effective intervention.Lead effective stakeholder engagement on behalf of the Director with a wide range of organizations, agencies, and offices.Coordinate submissions, documentation, proposals, and initiatives, contributing a strategic perspective to responses.Manage complex, sensitive, and contentious projects as assigned by the Director, including new youth justice service center/detention center initiatives and interventions.Conduct and translate research on youth justice service center and youth detention center matters and other practices relating to young people at risk of offending and reoffending within the community, affecting the policy and operations of the department, including analysis of findings and recommendations for appropriate courses of action.Manage the Youth Justice Quality team, including work planning, project completion, and financial and human resource responsibilities.Actively participate in and contribute to the governance and strategic objectives of the department.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group: Justice & Legal
