About the Role BDO Australia's M&A team is the only firm to be awarded as a finalist in Merger Market's Australian M&A Awards as "Mid-Market M&A Financial Adviser of the Year" for the last four consecutive years. BDO's Melbourne Deal Advisory division is experiencing strong growth and we are now seeking a highly experienced Manager/Senior Manager to join our market leading Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. Our mid-market focused M&A team advises on transactions with enterprise values up to A$200M across several industries including technology, automotive, healthcare, education, and industrials. As a Manager / Senior Manager, you'll drive M&A projects, providing lead advisory services and building strong client relationships.
What you'll be doing: Project Management: managing engagements and building strong working relationshipsCoaching & Mentoring: guiding and reviewing the work completed by the junior team membersTeam Collaboration: working closely with leadership and the wider team around strategy and business development initiativesRepresent BDO: acting as an ambassador of the firm, participating in marketing events and keeping abreast of the wide range of services the firm offersNational Initiatives: contributing to BDO National M&A team activitiesGrowth: supporting recruitment and team retention, including the development and training of the teamAbout you This role will suit an experienced Manager with a solid background in corporate finance looking to take the next step in their career. You'll be joining an elite team of professionals who pride themselves on their strong work ethic. The attributes below will ensure your success:
Minimum of four years lead M&A advisory experience in professional services/boutique advisory firm/private equity or investment bankingWell-rounded lead M&A advisory skills, including research, analysis, modelling, presentation and project managementCA and/or CFA qualifications (or similar)Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of staff and stakeholdersA strong internal drive to deliver exceptional outcomesHighly developed interpersonal skills coupled with people management experience.Why BDO?
