Do work that matters: You will report directly to the Executive Manager, Risk and Control Advisory and will support the Group Treasury business with ensuring compliance with the Operational Risk Frameworks, policies and controls.
You will provide support on operational risk matters across Group Treasury Portfolio as well as develop and improve processes through automation and visualisation.
See yourself in our team: Group Treasury as part of Financial Services is accountable for the management of the non-traded market risk for CBA, including interest rate, foreign exchange, funding and liquidity risks associated with the Group's lending and deposit taking business and the investment of shareholders' funds.
Group Treasury's remit also incorporates capital optimization, as well as the assessment and monitoring of the Group's overall balance sheet performance.
It owns and executes a liability and funding strategy consistent with an objective of balance sheet optimization while adhering to the regulatory requirements.
On any given day you will: Responsible for the design and implementation / support of the business to design and implement controls and to enable better risk and compliance outcomes.
Responsible for ensuring risks are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and update when risk trigger events occur.
Responsible for reporting on operational risk and control profiles, issues, incidents and other matters Work effectively with Line 2 and Audit to determine optimal course of action to remediate any findings.
Process improvement / automation of processes to streamline work.
Engage with people across various parts of the Group Treasury and wider Group; stakeholder management and communication skills are paramount in this role.

Your experience looks like: Relevant experience in a similar Risk & Controls role within a financial services firm.
Strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis.
Strong attention to detail and quality with ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills, Tableau and Alteryx skills preferable.
Understanding Treasury, Institutional Trading or Market operations background is preferable, but not necessary.
