You will be responsible for interpreting complex legislation and regulatory frameworks, ensuring that decision-making processes are sound, transparent, and aligned with legislation.
As a key member of the QLeave's Leadership Team, your leadership will drive continuous improvement and enhance our organisational capability.Your ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Act as the authorised decision-maker for internal review applications, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements.Provide high-level expertise in interpreting legislation to guide the development of comprehensive advice, decisions, briefings, and reports.Identify emerging issues and risks, developing robust, evidence-based policy recommendations that inform strategic direction.Lead and mentor the internal review team, fostering an environment of high performance and professional growth.Develop and refine policies and procedures to enhance the internal review function and ensure compliance with governance frameworks.Initiate improvement initiatives that elevate the quality and efficiency of decision-making processes.Collaborate with peers to build strategic partnerships that enhance service delivery and organisational effectiveness.Undertake additional tasks as directed by your supervisor or the General Manager.What Are We Looking For?We seek candidates who demonstrate:Strong legislative interpretation, analytical and research skills to provide clear, timely, and high-quality written advice and decisions.Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective presentation of complex information to diverse audiences.A collaborative approach to building relationships, fostering trust, and promoting a shared commitment to excellence.Ability to delegate and align work tasks with broader organisational objectives.Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in managing teams, building team capability, and managing ethical standards.Use evidence to drive business decisions and business improvement strategies, procedures, and processes.While there are no mandatory qualifications, a tertiary qualification (Bachelor) in Law will be favourably regarded.Conditions and Benefits
