Manager Research And Statistics, Justice And Attorney-General

Details of the offer

The Manager, Research and Statistics will have a major role in developing and leading the Council's research program according to the priorities set by the Council.
This role will undertake complex research projects independently and will collaborate with the Principal Research Analyst and the broader Secretariat on a range of joint projects requiring a multi-disciplinary approach.
Applicants will need experience in finalising complex research projects involving the use of qualitative and quantitative research strategies.
Applicants with a working knowledge of SAS (or equivalent) and Excel will be highly regarded.
The ideal applicant for this role will be someone who can demonstrate the following key attributes as they apply to the key responsibilities of the role.
Knowledge and experience in criminal justice systems and current and emerging issues in sentencing theory and practice.
Proven experience applying high level conceptual, analytical and research skills in the area of criminology and policy development.
Demonstrated capacity to build and sustain effective relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders within and external to government.
Proven ability to manage own work program to strict deadlines within a highly pressured work environment, and to manage the work of others.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
In addition, applicants will need the following technical capability:
Demonstrated experience in finalising complex research projects involving the use of qualitative and quantitative research strategies.
A working knowledge of SAS (or equivalent) and Excel will be highly regarded.
