Manager Regulation Water Infrastructure | Full-Time Permanent

Details: Utilities Technical Regulation (UTR) supports the Technical Regulator through provision of advice on a broad range of issues related to the technical regulation of licensed and unlicensed utilities.
Applications are sought from Engineers with qualifications related to water supply and treatment infrastructure as well as suitable experience to deliver complex regulatory outcomes. In addition to relevant technical qualifications and experience, the successful candidate must have well developed communication skills and be able to work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide clear advice to the Technical Regulator, Ministers and a range of stakeholders.
You will be responsible for managing regulatory relationships with licensed and unlicensed utilities regarding their water infrastructure and services provided. This will include scoping and delivering regulatory projects including assessment of complex applications for changes to water infrastructure including, audits and providing clear recommendations to a range of stakeholders who do not have an engineering background. You will be required to support the delivery of policy programs and the establishment of regulatory framework that support the introduction of innovative technology in the water sector.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering (water related), Emergency Management and/or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia.Eligibility for the ACT Engineers registration scheme is highly desirable.Notes: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
