The Strategic Rail Branch is driving the 10-year strategic direction for the passenger rail network in Queensland. Through 'SEQ Rail Connect', we are directing rail investments to priority infrastructure, assets and services to improve passenger and industry outcomes.
The purpose of the Manager (Rail Performance & Projects) is to proactively assess and analyse the performance of Service Delivery Partners to enhance the value for money for the State, as well as enable longer term policy changes to be made.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Focus on assessing and analysing the performance of Service Delivery Partners in the delivery of rail services, on behalf of the purchaser of these rail services, TMR. This includes assessing State Rail Contracts' performance in rail operations, rail infrastructure management and capital delivery.Providing expert advice to influence Rail System performance in Queensland to drive improved operational and capital investment, asset management and strategic policy development including the development of strategies to support the efficient delivery of the rail services.Building and maintaining effective partnerships with the planning, infrastructure and delivery areas within Translink, TMR and Rail Service Providers to ensure that Translink's needs, and the needs of the rail customers are appropriately reflected.Engage with other State, National and International agencies to identify rail industry trends and opportunities available to Queensland, contributing to a better understanding of the role and performance of government rail in Queensland.Assist in the development of strategies supporting the Government's key priorities for rail transport in a changing and dynamic environment.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
