We are looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to join the QC team in Parkville (Australia) on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2025. Reporting to the Site Head, Quality Control, you will manage the QC support functions including the management of stability trials, product retention samples, laboratory distribution of production samples for testing, critical utilities samples, facility management, quality compliance support and administrative support to the other QC departments.
The RoleAs the QC Support Manager and working onsite, specifically you will:
Ensure CSL/Seqirus health and safety procedures and business policies are followed
Manage departmental resources to ensure activities are completed following approved procedures in line with agreed timelines
Manage the review, maintenance and completion of quality records and documentation to ensure integrity of information
Co-ordinate and create submissions for capital expenditure within the department
Manage, measure, review and report department performance against business operations plans and budgets
Maintain a strategic focus on activities in the one-month to one-year time frame
Identify ways to improve the effectiveness of processes
Select and lead staff within the department for career development and succession planning
Maintain good working relationships with relevant regulatory industry bodies including auditors, main suppliers and internal/external customers
Your skills and experienceTo be considered for the role, you have:
A tertiary qualification in Biological Sciences or equivalent;
Minimum 5 years experience in a pharmaceutical GMP/GLP environment managing a quality department;
Experience with TGA, FDA and PIC/s requirements;
Experience managing a team to meet business timelines;
Experience developing detailed budgets and plans;
Experience in a similar role managing a very high volume of testing while meeting quality requirements;
Experience in a role requiring collaboration and interaction with regulatory bodies.
