Position Overview The Manager Projects will lead the delivery of Kyogle Council's capital works and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
This role involves overseeing all stages of project management, from planning and design to construction and completion, while managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
The Manager Projects will also ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the delivery of Council's capital works program.Manage project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.Maintain budgets, manage risks, and provide regular project reports to senior management and Council.Implement effective contract management systems and ensure compliance with legislation and Council policies.Foster positive relationships with the community, Councillors, and external agencies.Position Requirements: Strong project management experience in the infrastructure or construction sector.Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Experience in managing budgets, tenders, and contracts.A commitment to compliance, quality, and safety standards.Selection Criteria Project Delivery and ManagementDescribe your experience in delivering capital works or infrastructure projects, particularly in a local government context.
