$115,065 - $119,872 per year (pro rata where applicable), plus 11.5% Superannuation, 17.5% leave loading, with the option to salary sacrifice up to $15,900 to increase your take home payHOURS:

The Manager - Projects and Innovation Development reports directly to the General Manager Communications, Member and Strategic Engagement and has line-management responsibilities.
This position works as part of a team where interdependencies and collaboration with colleagues, QDN members and internal and external stakeholders are critical to the successful delivery of a growing number of projects, services and activities.What will you bring to the role?

High level of knowledge and awareness of the disability and human services sector and relevant Commonwealth and State legislation and policy reforms related to people with a disability.High level knowledge and skills in effective consumer and community engagement and place-based approaches, including a focus on identifying and developing local peer leaders with disability.High ability to engage and maintain strong networks and partnerships with key stakeholders including Government, community, mainstream corporate sector, and voluntary organisations.Proven experience in partnership development with a track record of securing and managing high value partnerships.A background in project delivery and innovation/business development with the ability to lead on the full partnerships cycle from new relationship development to pitch, partnerships negotiations and account development.A track record of leading teams to achieve funded targets, project metrics and targets with a outcome with a QDN growth focus.High level negotiation, interpersonal skills and communication, both written and verbal.A strategic focus with strong business acumen and the ability to manage a team of delivery staff, deliver complex initiatives personally and, find solutions and think creatively.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.The ability to work in small, dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.A genuine passion for social impact and an alignment with QDN's vision.What will you do in the role?

Lead, manage and deliver QDN's programs and projects including planning, engagement, reporting, communications, evaluation and risk management that deliver successful outcomes within scope and budget.Undertake effective engagement with people with disability, family/carers and other key stakeholders to inform QDN's project work and activities.Ensure the overall delivery of QDN's project streams in a timely and cost-effective manner, to meet contractual arrangements and outcomes within agreed budgets and performance levels, including managing the delivery of outcomes where projects are undertaken as part of a consortium.Pro-actively lead and steer the organisation to business opportunities and identify and negotiate to deliver new funded programs and key strategic projects that align with QDN's Strategic Plan and its mission, vision and goals.Establish and manage productive working relationships with people with disability and their supporters, disability and community sector, Government, departments including contract managers, key allies and partners and business and industry.Ongoing development and oversight of the format, content, processes and resources of project activities, outputs and outcomes by building a funded project pipeline.Coordinate internal resources and leading teams of project staff and QDN members who have taken on formal roles within projects to deliver outcomes.Responsibility for the recruitment, selection, employment, and orientation of project staff and volunteers and effectively manage project staff performance, ensuring the completion of probation and performance reviews, updating of position descriptions and duty statements.Undertake key responsibilities with regards to organisational reporting, meetings and other internal processes and compliance with relevant State and Commonwealth legislation and frameworks including QDN's Quality Management System, NDIS Quality and Safeguards and Queensland Human Rights Act.Other duties as directed by the General Manager Communications, Member and Strategic Engagement and/or the CEO.What can you expect from working at QDN?
